矽酸鐵是一種由鐵與矽酸鹽結合而成的無機化合物,具高熔點和化學穩定性,因此廣泛應用於陶瓷、塗料和半導體研磨廢水處理。

  • 去除重金屬效果佳:矽酸鐵具有良好的吸附能力,特別是對於:鉛(Pb²⁺)、鎘(Cd²⁺)、鋅(Zn²⁺)、銅(Cu²⁺)矽酸鹽結構可與金屬離子交換或形成穩定化合物,降低其在水中游離濃度。
  • 吸附與絮凝雙重效果粉末狀矽酸鐵顆粒具有微孔與表面積,能吸附部分污染物。同時在適當條件下(pH與攪拌控制),能促進懸浮物凝聚沉降,具備部分絮凝效果

  • 不易溶於水,不會造成二次污染(如高鹽度、高酸鹼性等副作用)。

  • 處理後污泥穩定性高,有利後端污泥脫水與處置。

  • 廢水處理 :

1. 重金屬吸附劑:利用其表面活性與矽酸鹽結構,可有效吸附銅、鉛、鋅、鎘等重金屬離子。廣泛應用於電鍍業廢水、冶金廢水處理

2. 混凝助劑 / 絮凝助劑:可輔助PAC或石灰,提高SS(懸浮固體)與重金屬的去除率。特別適合處理含油或含懸浮微粒高的工業廢水

3. 污泥穩定劑:處理後殘留的矽酸鐵可與污泥中的金屬離子結合,使其不易溶出,有助於污泥減容與穩定化處置

  • 建材工業用途 :

1. 礦渣微粉添加劑:可作為混凝土與水泥中的活性礦物摻料,類似爐石粉。增強抗壓強度、耐久性及降低水泥用量,屬於綠色建材應用。

2. 耐火材料:高溫下穩定性佳,可用於製作耐火磚、陶粒、耐火混凝土

3. 鋪面骨材 / 填料:經破碎與篩分後的粗粒矽酸鐵可用於道路鋪設或地基回填材料。

  • 冶金工業用途 :

1.  爐渣安定劑:在銅、鎳等熔煉過程中形成爐渣,用於捕捉有害元素(如As、Pb)。熔融矽酸鐵渣為冶金過程中的副產物,同時可作為絕熱填充材料回收再用。

  • 其他用途 :

1. 陶瓷與琉璃材料:某些矽酸鐵具良好的發色性與熔融特性,可用於釉藥或琉璃製品。經特殊活化後,具多孔結構,可應用於吸附劑或觸媒載體基材(較為專業用途)。

2. 合成催化劑載體:經特殊活化後,具多孔結構,可應用於吸附劑或觸媒載體基材(較為專業用途)。

Iron silicate is an inorganic compound formed by the combination of iron and silicate. It features a high melting point and excellent chemical stability, making it widely used in ceramics, coatings, and semiconductor polishing wastewater treatment.

Excellent Heavy Metal Removal:

Iron silicate exhibits strong adsorption capabilities, especially for lead (Pb²⁺), cadmium (Cd²⁺), zinc (Zn²⁺), and copper (Cu²⁺). Its silicate structure enables ion exchange or stable compound formation with heavy metals, effectively reducing their free ion concentration in water.

Dual Adsorption and Flocculation Function:

Powdered iron silicate particles possess micropores and a large surface area, enabling them to adsorb certain pollutants. Under proper conditions (adjusted pH and mixing), it also facilitates floc formation and particle settling, providing partial flocculation effects.

Stable and Non-Leachable:

It is practically insoluble in water, meaning it does not cause secondary pollution such as increased salinity or strong pH shifts.

Stable Sludge After Treatment:

The resulting sludge after treatment is highly stable, which is beneficial for sludge dewatering and disposal in downstream processes.

🧪 Wastewater Treatment

  1. Heavy Metal Adsorbent

    Leveraging its surface activity and silicate structure, iron silicate effectively adsorbs heavy metal ions such as Cu, Pb, Zn, and Cd.
    It is widely applied in electroplating and metallurgical wastewater treatment.

  2. Coagulant / Flocculant Aid
    Acts as an auxiliary agent to PAC or lime, enhancing the removal of suspended solids (SS) and heavy metals.
    Particularly suitable for industrial wastewater with high oil content or suspended particles.

  3. Sludge Stabilizer
    Residual iron silicate after treatment binds with metal ions in sludge, preventing their leaching.
    This contributes to volume reduction and stabilization of sludge.


🧱 Construction Material Industry

  1. Mineral Admixture for Cement/Concrete
    Can be used as a reactive mineral additive in concrete and cement, similar to ground granulated blast-furnace slag.
    Improves compressive strength, durability, and reduces cement usage — supporting green building practices.

  2. Refractory Materials
    With high thermal stability, it is suitable for making refractory bricks, ceramsite, and refractory concrete.

  3. Aggregate / Filler for Pavement
    Coarse-grained iron silicate, after crushing and screening, can be used as road base material or backfill.


🔥 Metallurgical Industry

  1. Slag Stabilizer

    During the smelting of copper or nickel, it forms part of the slag, capturing harmful elements such as arsenic (As) and lead (Pb).
    The molten iron silicate slag is a by-product that can also be recycled as insulation or filler material.


🧪 Other Uses

  1. Ceramic and Glaze Materials
    Certain types of iron silicate offer coloring properties and good fusibility, making them suitable for glazes and glass-based products.

  2. Synthetic Catalyst Carrier
    After activation treatment, it can develop a porous structure, making it suitable as a carrier for adsorbents or catalytic materials (more specialized use).
